How to Integrate ECI Bolt with QuickBooks?

The following method outlines the steps to integrate ECI Bolt with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and does not apply to the QuickBooks Online version of the accounting software. To integrate with QuickBooks, ensure that the QuickBooks user is an administrator in single sign-on mode.

  1. Sign in to your Bolt account.
  2. Navigate to Settings > QuickBooks.
  3. Select QuickBooks Enterprise as the Source.
  4. Keep the Application Name unchanged. Choose the options: Preview Invoice and Invoice Floorplan Options.
  5. Select yourself as the QuickBooks User.
  6. The fields for Invoice Template, Memo Template, and Product Description Template can be adjusted as needed later.
  7. Add a level based on your QuickBooks job organization.
  8. Click on Update QuickBooks Config.
  9. Select the profile icon near the Settings menu, then click on the bouncing green QuickBooks logo.
  10. A QuickBooks Connection pop-up will appear. Click on the configuration file once and wait for the download to complete.
  11. Open the downloaded file to launch the setup wizard. Click OK.
  12. Open QuickBooks. A QuickBooks – Application Certificate window will appear. Choose Yes for the prompt “Whenever this QuickBooks company file is open,” then click Continue.
  13. You will receive an Access Confirmation notification. Confirm and select Done.
  14. Open the web connector by navigating to File > App Management.
  15. Check the box next to the Bolt Application. Enter your Bolt password in the password field and select Update Selected.
  16. Repeat the steps above to download the configuration file for each Bolt user who has QuickBooks installed on their computer.
