What Are LexisNexis Juris System Requirements?
Juris software is built on technologies that rely on Microsoft solutions such as SQL Server and Windows Operating System. Typically, the software is installed on a server and accessed using separate workstations. Consequently, there are multiple deployment options, such as on-premises, public cloud hosting, hybrid, desktop as a service, or as a fully hosted solution. Here are the system requirements for Juris hosting.
-
Juris Server System Requirements
The server in which Juris 2.8 upwards is installed should have at least 4 GB of memory for supporting 15 users, and 1 GB each for every 5 more users. While a dual-core processor would suffice for up to 50 users, servers with quad-core processors are required to support more users. While the software does not require a separate database, adding other applications to the SQL Server could increase resource requirements. It is recommended to have at least 3x the free hard-disk space used by Juris and its database. All Microsoft server operating systems, starting from Windows Server 2012, is supported by the software. Similarly, the database for the software works with SQL Server 2012 upwards.
-
Juris Workstation System Requirements
Juris can be accessed using workstations that have Intel Duo Core processors, and upwards with at least 4 GB RAM. The recommended monitor resolution is 1280 x 1024 at 96 DPI, although even a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768 is supported. The workstations must operate on either Windows 8 or Windows 10.
Apps4Rent Can Help with Juris Hosting
Lega firms are increasingly relying on cloud solutions for their requirements. While LexisNexis provides limited support for cloud hosting especially for older versions, this does not extend to installation, configuration, or administration. Additionally, for a system that is primarily an on-premises solution that many lawyers and firms have been using for several years, migrating, or upgrading to a new system could be challenging.
