In fact, the one thing that has many corporations waiting to offer HTC Droid Eris is the fact that it runs on Google’s Android 1.5 OS. However, the Droid Eris phone also runs on Android 2.0, with all of the OS upgrades such as sync adapters, account management and improved Exchange support. As well, the HTC Droid Eris 2.1 upgrade became available at the end of May 2010, and rumor points to a 2.2 upgrade coming soon with a huge jump in Exchange support, VPN and more business use.
As of June 2010, Verizon Wireless is the exclusively Droid Eris phone supplier.
