What is the difference between Hyper–V and Virtuozzo VPS? |
Hyper–V is a Microsoft Technology. Essentially, Virtuozzo virtualizes the OS while Hyper–V virtualizes the physical server. The VZ server requires only a single installation of Windows, while on the Hyper–V server each virtual server requires its own windows installation. In other words, Virtuozzo will virtualize the OS and creates “servers”. However, with Microsoft’s Hyper–V; every Virtual Dedicated Server will have its own OS. Due to this Hyper–V servers are found to be more productive as they perform better.
