Adding a new SharePoint Site
Please follow the instructions below to add a new SharePoint site:
NOTE: This is applicable only for WSS 3.0.
This document will help you in adding a new SharePoint site. You need to add the site from the control panel. There are two points that you need to remember. Please ensure that you point the CName record of newly added sites to sharepoint.hostmailserver.com. To add the “CName” record please contact your domain registrar. It might take anywhere between 24 hours to 48 hours for the DNS records to propagate, depending upon your domain registrar.
1. Adding a new SharePoint site by using the same domain that you have with us. For example: You already have a site as “example1.your_domain1.com” and you want to add another site for “example2.yourdomain1.com. Please note that the “.your_domain1.com” does not change in this case. To achieve this please follow the steps given in the document given below.

For example: You already have “example1.your_domain1.com” as a SharePoint site and you would like to have another SharePoint site with a different domain name “example.your_domain2.com”. Please note that “.your_domain1.com” and “.your_domain2.com” are changed and are two different main domains. To achieve this please follow the steps given in the document given below.
