SharePoint Site users get-“401-Page not found error”.
NOTE: This is applicable only for SharePoint Foundation customers. If SharePoint Standard/Enterprise customers are getting this error then please contact support team with the details of recent changes which were done to the site.
When access a SharePoint site; you may get an error indicating “401-Page Not Found”. We have outlined the reasons below of why this error might occur and what needs to be done.
- * When webpart is mispalced on the home page of the SharePoint site.
- * When any customization corrupts the home page.
- * When an unsupported Application Template is used while setting up the SharePoint site.
Solution: You can recreate the site on your own if you do not need the data. If you need the data, you need to contact us and we will assist you.
