Eligibility for Microsoft License Mobility

Who Is Eligible

Any organization having Volume Licensing or Enterprise Agreements with Software Assurance can use licenses owned by them in our managed Virtual Dedicated Servers Environments. This is useful for organizations that already own Microsoft Application Server licenses and would not like to rent licenses from us once again. This is done via License Mobility. As we are Authorized Mobility Partners you can deploy your workloads via License Mobility through Software Assurance without hassles.

Here are some of the applications for which License Mobility is usually sought.

• Microsoft Exchange Server.
• Microsoft SharePoint Server.
• Microsoft Project Server.
• Microsoft Project Lite.
• Microsoft SQL Server Standard/Enterprise and Business Intelligence Edition.
• Microsoft Lync Server.
• Microsoft Dynamic CRM Server and Dynamics AX Server.
• Visual Studio Deployment.
• Visual Studio TFS Server.

It is important that customer must ensure that they have the correct number of CAL licenses with Software Assurance. It is customer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with Microsoft licensing programs. Customers invoking License Mobility have to complete the license verification procedure. Microsoft will ensure that the customer has eligible licenses with Active Software Assurance and that customer can use them with us.
